The Card That Fits
The Socket Bluetooth Card is a Type I CompactFlash card with an integrated
antenna. This means that it fits completely in the expansion slot of your
favorite Pocket PC. It’s the first wireless solution that doesn’t alter the physical
form factor of your mobile computer. Socket also offers a PC Card adapter
so you can use the card in the PC Card slot of a Windows-based handheld PC.
Battery Friendly® The Socket Bluetooth Card saves power by using your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone to communicate with the Internet. A mobile phone cell site could be as far as two miles away, but your Pocket PC only has to supply enough power to support the 30-foot (10-meter) range of a Class 2 Bluetooth radio. Socket also provides power management software that further reduces strain on your Pocket PCs batteries.
Easy-to-Use Software
Socket’s software for Windows CE makes it easy to
set up and use the Socket Bluetooth Card as though
it were a standard modem. With the Bluetooth
Get Connected! Wizard, it’s a snap to connect to
another Bluetooth device. The kit also includes the
Bluetooth Device Manager with advanced features
for expert users.
