Not just another pre-amp, the controls are designed to provide you with the flexibility to achieve virtually any professionally miked tube amp/speaker cabinet system sound. There are 49 factory presets, and 49 user-definable locations. Storing programs is simple. Just play your instrument, turn the knobs until you like what you hear, and save it. Parameters are adjusted in real time. With 256 incremental steps, each rotary control increases and decreases in a smooth linear fashion, allowing you to fine tune individual tone shaping characteristics. | | | | Via MIDI, you can load and off-load presets, map program locations, and select MIDI channels (including Omni Mode). Remote program changes can be made via MIDI or momentary footswitch. SansAmp PSA-1 is supported by Mark of the Unicorn's UNISYN and X-oR software. These Universal Editor Librarian programs for Macintosh, Windows and Atari bring more power and even greater flexibility to your SansAmp PSA-1. Other features include dual 1/4" and XLR outputs for stereo processing - either pair can be set at line or instrument level, and used simultaneously. An Effects Loop '50/50' switch preserves signal integrity. By increasing or decreasing the output level of an external effects processor, you can achieve 0-75% wet/dry mix ratios internally. The non-glare LED display is readable from any angle, in daylight or darkness. | | | | | |

The results are easy to hear: punchy,responsive, powerful sounds that bring out the best in an instrument?the kind of tones thatcharacterize the original SansAmp Classic, SansAmp Bass DI, SansAmp GT2, and SansAmpRackmount.
- The SansAmp PSA-1 can be used for a variety of applications. In the studio, you can recorddirect to tape, enhance existing tracks in mixdowns, as well as add interesting touches to any instrument. For live performances, it can be used as a pre-amp direct into a power amp withguitar or bass speaker cabinets, as a ?monster direct box? to a P.A. system, (or both simultane-ously), and as an outboard processor.
- The SansAmp PSA-1 features MIDI capability for calling up programs and storing programdata. There are 49 factory presets and 49 memory locations to store your own custom sounds,plus two bypass programs. When you switch between programs, there is no lag time, or ?cut-ting out.?
- The controls on the SansAmp PSA-1 work very much like those found on a sophisticatedamp. You don?t need special training or a degree in physics to operate your unit. Storing andrecalling programs is simple: set your tones and push the Rackmount, you just turn a knob and hear the difference immediately - in real time. Thereare 256 incremental steps in the rotation of each control, so increases and decreases occur ina smooth, gradual, linear fashion.
The SansAmp PSA-1 is designed to provide you with the flexibility to find almost any con-ceivable tonal personality within the tube amplifier sound spectrum.
