the memory front, you could easily get by with 1GB of RAM these days.
For most tasks in Windows XP, that's plenty. But there are a few games
that benefit from extra memory, with more titles on the way. Heavy
Photoshop users or video editors could use a bit more, too. We had a
better reason for pushing this system to 2GB, though: Windows Vista.
Vista will use RAM more efficiently than XP does, with its advanced
prefetching algorithms. I found a good deal on a pair of OCZ 1GB sticks
that offer pretty good latency for 800-MHz DDR2 RAM. This level of
performance for $200 is too sweet a deal to pass up."

kit. The kit takes advantage of the chipset's dual-channel capability,
and the 1GB capacity keeps the cost down. OCZ makes great memory and
the Gold line offers good speed and overclockability while keeping the
price reasonable. PC6400 (DDR2 800Mhz) seems to offer the best cost vs.
performance right now, as PC5300 is only a few bucks cheaper while
